Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet or pizza stone by dusting lightly with flour.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and sauté for about 2 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant. Add ground beef and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5–6 minutes until browned, then drain any excess fat.
Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round on a floured surface and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
Add dollops of ricotta cheese, then layer the cooked beef mixture on top.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly, followed by Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, swap the ground beef for sautéed mushrooms or zucchini. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.
